On the road again
Well, today is day three of our adventures on the road. Thursday we left from Chicago and headed towards Colorado with the intention of stopping wherever we felt like it. That ended up being the glorious state of Nebraska (well, not-quite-glorious-but-surprisingly-pleasant), but not before cruising through Iowa.
Next came the trip to Colorado, seeing our wonderful friend Angela (and a whole crew of her friends) and gawking at the mountains.
After being stunned by the drastically different geography found within the state of Colorado (desert to mountains to desert again) we headed off to Utah.
In Utah we experienced vast plains of pretty desolate land, probably the loneliest road we've experienced thus far, and even a little bit of snow falling from the sky (we couldn't figure out if it was rain or bugs at first).
Well, now, it is late, I am tired and in much need of sleep to prepare for the adventures to come tomorrow!
Talk to you in a few days!

hehehehe NOEL! You need to run FASTER!! ;) grins Aren't timers on cameras FUN?? I love mine! hahaha
I experienced Nebraska when Kat, Amy, and I roadtripped out to WY... well, the 2nd half of Neb. that is. The 1st half I slept through. The landscape gets pretty interesting as you near WY, though... the land changes from shallow rolling slopes to giant cobblestoned plains. Pretty dang cool. Then every once in a while we would see a "sink hole" where a tiny town was nestled... from the highway all we could see were the a couple rooves and the top of a steeple. :)
So, it looks like you guys are having blast! I can't wait to hear stories!! grins
later Noel!
love ya,
Rachel

ps. I think Iowa is one of the most agonizingly boring states I've ever driven through. Right up there with Ohio. (sorry all who are from or live in those states!) And I CO is most definitely one of the most beautiful. :)

Hey, Noel! Great pictures! I can't believe you decided to stop in Nebraska, of all places...And after all that, you didn't take any pictures of Angela? ;) (Actually, it's just that I'm ridiculously jealous that you get to see all these amazing places...)
Keep enjoying your trip!
